Peter Pan Play:
(Annual Classroom Musical)

Our students from the 2014-2015 school year performed The Learning Company and Academy's annual Peter Pan play in September.  Each child had a special role, while the kindergartener's performed characters and the preschoolers sang in the chorus.

Oak Grove Park:
(Summer Field Trip)

We visited the Oak Grove Park in Almaden Valley for a nature hike and picnic lunch.  All children were asked to collect various leafs, acorns, and rocks during their adventure so that we could identify the differences between everyone's collections.  Afterwards we enjoyed playing on the public playground and a picnic lunch.

Lake Almaden Park:
(Summer Field Trip)

Our annual Summer visit to Lake Almaden Park was so much fun this year.  We were escorted by San Jose Parks & Recreation along the main trail where we learned about birdwatching.  Many different species were discovered by the children. Aftwerwards they decorated "binoculars" and brought them home to show their parents.

Uesugi Farms:
(Annual Fall Field Trip)

When the crunchy leaves fall from trees and there is a slight chill in the air, it's time for us to visit Uesugi Farms!  There is much to enjoy at the best pumpkin patch in Morgan Hill.  Pumpkin picking, corn mazes, hayrides, train rides, and lots of learning about farm life.

Halloween Parade:
(Annual Classroom Performance)

There is nothing better than watching all the children dress up in costume for the annual Halloween performance!  We started the morning off with spooky songs, dances, and a parade around the perimeter of the playground.  This year The Learning Company and Academy was fortunate to have 5 Elsa princesses from Frozen!

The Lizard Lady:
(Annual Classroom Visit)

We have had the honor of having "The Lizard Lady" as an annual guest at our school over the years.  She has been in business for 25 years rescuing and caring for reptiles and species from various countries.  We were delighted to have her return to our classroom in January 2015 to kick off the New Year with our first classroom field trip to the rainforests in Madagascar.

Winter Holiday Show:
(Annual Classroom Performance)

We had a delightful and festive Winter Performance with our preschoolers and kindergarten students.  It was a packed house for "Melton The Snowman" and a multitude of holiday songs.  And who can forget our annual visit from Santa Claus himself!  Happy Holidays!

Pump It Up:
(Annual Field Trip)

It is with much excitement when we return to Pump It Up year after year for our annual school field trip.  We have several parent volunteers who assist on each field trip, lending their hands and ensuring the ultimate safety for everyone. The kids are always up for "jumpy time" and learning about how athletic they can be.
